About Canterbury Aikikai

Canterbury Aikikai - Aikido in Canterbury, Kent

Based in Canterbury, Kent, we are a traditional dojo that practises aikido in the Aikikai style. We train weekly as a small group, and welcome all levels of experience.

Aikido developed from ancient Japanese martial arts and incorporates techniques derived from several schools of Ju-Jitsu, Sword and Spear arts. Not only is it used by police forces and armies for self defence, and by business leaders to develop mental focus, business intelligence and competitive intelligence, but it is used by ordinary men and women to develop physical and mental coordination, inner peace, self confidence and self mastery.

Beginners welcome – join us!

Class times: We meet on Sunday mornings (10.30am – 12.30pm), starting on Sunday October 11th.

Location: The Prince of Wales Youth Club, Military Road, Canterbury, CT1 1YX (@princeofwalesyc)
